The Trump administration is reportedly putting a stop to a CIA program to support rebel groups trying to topple the Syrian government. Two unnamed U.S. officials confirmed the decision to media outlets.
One official described it as being part of an administration effort to improve relations with Russia. Both the White House and the CIA declined to comment on the report. "The Washington Post" yesterday was the first to report the program's suspension.
